Negotiations on Proposed New Duty System

The FBU and the SFRS have begun negotiations on a new duty system for Scotland which has come about as part of the standardisation of terms and conditions across the Service.

The Service have indicated that they would prefer some form of 5 watch system across Scotland, although any final decision on this will be subject to negotiation.

Following initial discussions, a programme of meetings have now been scheduled over the coming weeks and months. A team of FBU Regional and District officials have been drawn from each of the Service Delivery Areas to lead these negotiations.

Members will be consulted on progress through your branch and district structures. This will enable us to consider your views and opinions which will then inform the negotiations.

Updates will also be placed on the FBU Scotland website as soon as there is any progress to report, so we urge members to visit the website on a regular basis.
